We’re excited to launch BIOEESC – Biomass-derived renewable materials for Electrochemical Energy Storage & Conversion. Coordinated by Universidade de Aveiro (CICECO - Aveiro Institute of Materials), the project pioneers bio-based electrolytes for next-generation sodium-ion batteries, cutting critical raw materials and shrinking carbon footprints.
Our contribution to BIOEESC:
✅ Advanced electrochemical testing & characterisation
✅ Cell design, prototyping and performance validation
✅ Techno-economic guidance to shorten the road from lab to pilot line
By pairing sustainable biomass resources with sodium-ion chemistry, we’re helping Europe build a resilient, ethical and cost-competitive battery supply chain – from local raw materials to real-world products.
At Vasco da Gama CoLAB, our mission is to accelerate breakthrough ideas into market-ready solutions. We bridge academic research and industrial scale-up, delivering mid-TRL prototypes that de-risk investment and speed up commercial adoption.
We look forward to collaborating with our partners to deliver greener, more affordable energy-storage technologies with tangible impact. Let’s get to work! 💪🌍
