Our master students participated in the Doctoral Congress in Engineering 2025 (DCE25) at Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto, where they are currently finishing their dissertations at Vasco da Gama CoLAB, under the supervision of Dr. Rita Carvalho Veloso.
➡️ Mariana Almeida (MSc in Chemical Engineering) presented:"Cellulose-Derived Hard Carbons as Sustainable Anodes for Sodium-Ion Batteries".
➡️ Carolina Saraiva (MSc in Chemical Engineering) presented:"Presodiation Strategies for Improved SIBs: A Comparative Study of Cathode Materials and Additives".
➡️ Francisco Ramos da Silva (MSc in Engineering Physics) presented:"Influence of Charge/Discharge Profiles on the Aging Mechanisms of Sodium-Ion Batteries".
Congratulations to Mariana, Carolina and Francisco for their excellent contributions and for showcasing the research developed at our lab!
These projects are fully in line with Vasco da Gama CoLAB's mission to promote research, prototyping and validation of industrial processes of sodium-ion-based energy storage solutions.
